Hausen ( listen ? / I ) is the smallest and most easterly district of the Knüllwald community in the Schwalm-Eder district in northern Hesse . Audio file / audio sample

Geographical location

Hausen is located in the northeast part of the Knüll Mountains between Rengshausen in the northwest and southeast Ersrode , a district of Ludwigsau in the neighboring district of Hersfeld-Rotenburg . The village is traversed by the Fulda tributary Beise .

history

The village was first mentioned in a document in 1353, under the name Husin . The " Rengshausen court " with the villages of Hausen, Licherode, Lichtenhagen, Nausis and Nenterode belonged to the Rotenburg office from 1579 , which was part of the Rotenburger Quart from 1627 to 1835 .

In the course of the regional reform in Hesse , the new large community with the name Rengshausen was formed on December 31, 1971 through the amalgamation of the previously independent communities Hausen, Lichtenhagen , Nausis , Nenterode and Rengshausen .

On 1 January 1974, this community was, in the formation of the Schwalm-Eder district , with the municipalities Berndshausen and Niederbeisheim powerful state law in the greater community of Knüllwald incorporated . Local districts were established for all former municipalities .

traffic

The state road  3254 runs south-west past Hausen between Rengshausen and Ersrode. South-east of the village, the high-speed railway line Hannover – Würzburg runs between the Schalkenberg tunnel in the north and Hainrode tunnel in the south on a short bridge over the Beise.
