Heinrich Christian Siekmeier

Heinrich Christian Siekmeier (born January 10, 1901 in Mettmann ; died December 16, 1982 in Hilden ) was a German administrative officer at the time of National Socialism , district president in Trier and deputy head of civil administration in Luxembourg, which was occupied by the Wehrmacht . Siekmeier was sentenced to seven years imprisonment in Luxembourg in 1949 for war crimes .

Life

After graduating from elementary school, Siekmeier attended the teachers' seminar and in 1921 took the first teacher examination for elementary school teachers . He studied German and history at the universities in Cologne and Bonn from 1922 to 1924 , joined the school service in 1923 and worked as a primary school director in Mettmann until 1928 . From 1928 he became a teacher at the Mettmann school "Zur Gau" and the local Hindenburg school . In 1926 he passed the second state examination. In January 1926 he joined the NSDAP , or again on July 1, 1929. From 1930 to 1933 he was a member of the Rhenish provincial parliament , from March to October 1933 a member of the Prussian parliament . In Mettmann, he was briefly a NSDAP city councilor and district council member in 1933. Before he became government school councilor in Düsseldorf from September 1, 1933 , he had been active in a commission for the application of the National Socialist Civil Service Act of April 7, 1933, which removed Jewish and politically unpopular civil servants in the Düsseldorf administrative region from spring 1933 .

In 1934 he became head of the school department in the Koblenz district . From 1938 he was initially provisional and in 1939 he was definitively regional president in Trier , and since the end of July 1940 at the same time permanent representative of the "Chief of Civil Administration in Luxembourg" , Gauleiter of the Gau Moselland, Gustav Simon . Possibly he was a member of the SS and achieved the rank of SS-Oberführer there .

After his internment , he was sentenced on December 23, 1949 by the Luxembourg "Cour des Crimes de Guerre" to seven years ' imprisonment for his work as representative of the "Chief of Civil Administration" and released after five years. No information is available about his other activities.

Siekmeier married Amalie Hecklau in 1927.
