Henri Hens

Henri Hens (born December 6, 1889 in Antwerp , † February 20, 1963 there ) was a Belgian racing cyclist .

Henri Hens was a diamond cutter by profession. It was not until the age of 18 that he learned to ride a bicycle and a few weeks later he won the provincial championship in Antwerp. In 1910 Henri Hens became the Belgian amateur stayer champion . In the same year he became world champion in the same discipline and was able to interrupt the successful streak of the Englishman Leon Meredith . Then he went over to the professionals, but could not record any more success.
