Louis Bastien

Louis Bastien (born October 26, 1881 in Paris , † August 13, 1963 in Chateauroux ) was a French track cyclist , fencer and Olympic champion.

In 1900 Louis Bastien became world champion in the amateurs' standing races at the first track world championships of the newly founded World Cycling Association Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) in Paris . In the same year he started at the Olympic Games , also in Paris, in cycling and fencing. In fencing he was eliminated in the first round, in cycling he won a gold medal in scratch over 25 kilometers.
