Jan de Nijs

Jan de Nijs (born January 25, 1958 in Amsterdam ) is a former Dutch cyclist and world champion.

Jan de Nijs was six times Dutch champion in cycling, five times national champion in standing races and once in team time trial (with Peter Pieters , Theo Smit , Co Moritz , Ron Snijders and Marco van der Hulst ). At the UCI track world championships in Barcelona in 1984 , de Nijs was the amateur stalker world champion, behind pacemaker Bruno Walrave .
