Arie van Houwelingen (born November 28, 1931 in Boskoop ) is a former Dutch cyclist .

Arie van Houwelingen was a specialist in standing races . In this discipline, the protégé of the permanent world champion Cor Blekemolen became world champion of the amateurs in 1959 . The year before, he had already taken third place in the World Cup. He was also runner-up three times in the Dutch stay championships.
In the year of his World Cup victory, Arie van Houwelingen was voted “ Sportsman of the Year ” in the Netherlands .
