Hermann Friedrich Alexander von Michaelis (born March 20, 1813 in Perscheln , † May 30, 1890 in Gronau (Westphalia) ) was a Prussian lieutenant general .

Hermann was a member of the noble family von Michaelis, who were ennobled in 1808 and wealthy in East Prussia . His parents were the Prussian major and Herr auf Perscheln Wilhelm von Michaelis (1778-1848) and his wife Wilhelmine, née Gnaps († 1847). Military career
