Hermersdorf is a district of the market Vestenbergsgreuth in the district of Erlangen-Höchstadt in Middle Franconia .

geography

The village lies on the Kleine Weisach , which is a left tributary of the Aisch , and on the Sachselbach and Galgengraben, both of which flow into the Kleine Weisach near the village as right tributaries. The place is immediately surrounded by arable land and grassland with a few trees. In the south there is a larger contiguous forest area, individual parcels are Sixtenholz and Drei Brüder .

history

The place belonged to the manor Vestenbergsgreuth , whose lords of the castle had been the Nuremberg patricians Holzschuher since 1756 and which belonged to the knightly canton of Steigerwald . The Bamberg center of Höchststadt ruled the village and community .

As part of the municipal edict, Hermersdorf was assigned to the Breitenlohe tax district formed in 1808, and then to the newly formed Dutendorf tax district in 1810 . In 1818 the rural community Vestenbergsgreuth was formed, to which the place belonged.

The district road ERH 20 / NEA 3 runs to Uehlfeld to the federal road 470 (4.5 km southeast) or to the district road ERH 18 (0.1 km north) between Dutendorf and Frimmersdorf . Municipal roads lead to Vestenbergsgreuth to the district road ERH 21 (0.8 km southwest) and to Weickersdorf (1 km east).
