Hetschbach is a district of the community Hochst in southern Hesse Odenwaldkreis .
geography
As the northernmost district of the municipality of Höchst, Hetschbach borders the core town in the northwest. The buildings in the two places merge. Hetschbach is located on the creek of the same name in a valley that is only two kilometers long, which is enclosed in a horseshoe shape on three sides by a wreath of wooded Odenwald mountains, over whose heights the district boundary runs, and which opens to the southeast to the Mümlingtal . Hetschbach is located in the north of the Buntsandstein-Odenwald . The ridge around Hetschbach is important for traffic insofar as this saddle, called the rondel , offers a convenient transition from Mümlingtal to Frau-Nauses and the Rhine-Main area .
The federal highway 45 leads past the western edge of the village . Hetschbach has a stop on the Odenwaldbahn a few hundred meters southeast of the portal to the Frau-Nauses-Tunnel .
