Mühlmann, named after his father's grandfather Hieronymus I. Mühlmann (* 1535; † 1587), 1568–1576 pastor in Wiederau , 1575 deacon then archdeacon in Pegau in 1585 , grew up in Leipzig, where his father Johann Mühlmann as pastor and (after a Intermezzo in Laucha an der Unstrut ) from 1607 also worked as a professor. On November 2, 1607, his mother Dorothea died of the plague; In 1608 the father remarried, but died in 1613, so that Mühlmann became an orphan when he was only 7 years old. Both sons from the first marriage became Catholics. Mühlmann studied philosophy and theology in Cologne, where he converted and joined the Society of Jesus in 1627 . As a Jesuit, Mühlmann sought to raise himself to the victor in the Protestant church he had left, with u. a. his work: “Mysterium fraudis; the falsified ransom = key Lutheri; Prove that the Lutheran and Calvinist teachers mentioned as evangelicals have no right understanding of the Bible and therefore cannot have a true word of God, Cologne, April 1654 ” , against Johann Benedict Carpzov Snr. (* April 24, 1639 in Leipzig ; † March 23, 1699 ibid). In 1564 he received his answer from Johann Benedict Carpzov. He also wrote against Matthias Hoë von Hoënegg , Johann Georg Dorfcheus and other Protestant teachers. Other works by him are: “lenem correctionem Dorsehai; notas in epistolam Rantzovii; catholicae fidei speculum contra hell; censuram disquisitionis de ecclesia & Babylone contra Jo. Coccinm. “ Mühlmann came to Denmark in 1660 with Baron Johann (later Johann VIII. Bishop of Gurk and Cardinal) von Goëss (born February 10, 1612 in Brussels , † October 19, 1696 in Rome ). After Harenberg, Mühlmann came to Denmark to prevent the admission of Jesuits from Poland. He pretended to be a Lutheran. He died as an apostolic missionary in Copenhagen on October 22nd, 1666 and became royal with Swedish authorization to be buried in Holmens Kirke . Isaac de Trop, curate of Antoine de Courtin, reported on this . No entry was found in the death register.
