Hikmet Çiftçi (born March 10, 1998 in Neuss ) is a German - Turkish soccer player . He is under contract with 1. FC Kaiserslautern and is a young Turkish national player.

Career

At the age of eight, Çiftçi moved from FSV Vatan Neuss to the youth team of 1. FC Köln . With the club's B youth team, he played 24 times in the U17 Bundesliga , scored four goals and prepared three more. The midfielder played eighteen times for the Cologne U19s and was able to score two goals and prepare five more. From 2016 to 2019 he played in the second team of 1. FC Köln . He scored four goals during that time.

In the summer of 2019, Çiftçi moved to the second division club FC Erzgebirge Aue . He signed a contract until 2022. Çiftçi came on for the first time on the third match day of the 2019/20 season against Arminia Bielefeld and thus played his first game in a professional league. In addition to a game in the DFB Cup , it was his only competitive game for Aue.

As a result, the third division club 1. FC Kaiserslautern signed the midfielder for the second half of the 2019/20 season and provided him with a contract valid until June 2022.

National team

Çiftçi opted for an international career in the Turkish national teams and made his debut here in August 2016 with a mission for the Turkish U19 . This was followed by further missions for the U19s and the Turkish U21 national team .
