Lukas Erhan Eberhard Gottwalt (born September 16, 1997 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German football player . The central defender has been under contract with 1. FC Kaiserslautern since 2017 .

Career

The native of Frankfurt with Turkish roots initially played for various clubs in the region, including the youth teams of the two Frankfurt clubs FSV and Rot-Weiss .

He finally made his professional debut in the second Turkish division at Boluspor . After a season in the Association League Hessen Süd at SG Bruchköbel , 1. FC Kaiserslautern signed him in July 2017 .

There he was first used in the Oberliga Rheinland-Pfalz / Saar for the second team , where he played all 36 games of the season over 90 minutes. On September 2, 2018, Gottwalt was in the first team's third division match at FSV Zwickau (1: 1) and played for the entire season. On September 13th, he received a professional contract valid until 2022.
