Janik Bachmann (born May 6, 1996 in Groß-Umstadt ) is a German soccer player . He is used in defense and defensive midfield and has been under contract with 1. FC Kaiserslautern since summer 2019 .
Career
For the 2015/16 season he rose from the youth of SV Darmstadt 98 to the club's first team, which played in the Bundesliga . After he did not appear in the season, he left the club and joined the second team of Hannover 96 , which played in the Regionalliga Nord in the 2016/17 season . He made his debut for his new club on August 22, 2015. In the 2-1 win against TSV Schilksee , he was used by coach Michael Krüger for the entire season.
He scored his first and only goal for Hannover 96 II on May 8, 2016 in the game against TSV Havelse . He scored the interim 1-0 lead in this game in the 19th minute. In the end, the Hanoverians won 7-2. On April 7, 2017, he played his 50th competitive game for the second team of Hannover 96 against the second team of FC St. Pauli .
For the 2017/18 season he left Hanover and joined the third division team Chemnitzer FC . He made his professional football debut on September 23, 2017 at the East Derby against Hallescher FC . In the 3-0 victory he was substituted on by coach Horst Steffen in the 85th minute for Julius Reinhardt . He scored his first professional goal on April 8, 2018 in a 5-0 win in the East Derby against FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt , where he scored 4-0 in the 76th minute.
For the 2018/19 season he moved to the Würzburger Kickers and signed a contract until 2020. The midfielder played in 31 league games for the Franconians and contributed four goals and three assists.
In July 2019, 1. FC Kaiserslautern announced Bachmann's commitment. His contract has a term of four years.
