Antonio Jonjić (born August 2, 1999 in Ludwigshafen ) is a German - Croatian soccer player .

Career

Jonjić moved as a youth from SV Waldhof Mannheim to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim and went to 1. FC Kaiserslautern in 2013 . There he played in the 2014/15 season in the B-Junior Regional League and after a promotion to the B-Junior Bundesliga 2015/16. From 2016 to 2018 Jonjić played with the FCK U-19 team in the A-Juniors Bundesliga . The runner-up in the South / Southwest relay was achieved there in the 2016/17 season. In 2018 , the team reached the final of the DFB Junior Club Cup (1: 2 against SC Freiburg ).

For the 2018/19 season he moved up to the men's division for the second team of FCK ( Oberliga Rheinland-Pfalz / Saar ), where he quickly established himself as a regular player. On November 14, 2018, Jonjić made his first competitive appearance for the professional team in the association cup. On January 26, 2019, he was nominated for a third division game for the first time and was used as a substitute in this game against SG Sonnenhof Großaspach . After the 14th matchday of the 2019/20 season , Jonjić under head coach Boris Schommers, along with Christoph Hemlein and Janek Sternberg, was deleted from the professional squad until further notice. Kaiserslautern was in a relegation zone at this point and had been in the lower third of the table since the 4th matchday.
