Philipp Hercher (born March 21, 1996 in Rheinfelden ) is a German football player . The winger is under contract with 1. FC Kaiserslautern .

Career

Hercher started his career in 1999 at SV Ihrlerstein and went to SSV Jahn Regensburg in 2006 . In 2011 he switched to the youth team at 1. FC Nürnberg . There he moved up in May 2015 to the second team that plays in the Regionalliga Bayern . On October 4, 2015, he scored three goals in a 5-0 away win against SpVgg Greuther Fürth II .

Hercher has also been in the first team's squad since the 2015/16 season . On November 29, 2015, he made his debut in a 4-0 away win against FC St. Pauli in the 2nd Bundesliga , after being substituted for Tim Leibold in the 88th minute . In the further course of the season, however, he was only substituted one more time in a second division game. Otherwise, Hercher continued to play for the second team in the regional league, for which he scored ten goals in 15 games by the end of the season and contributed four assists.

He did not get beyond this status in the first half of the 2016/17 season , in which he was used once in the second division and ten times in the regional league. Therefore, Hercher was loaned out to third division VfR Aalen for the rest of the season in January 2017 in order to gain match practice.

For the third division season 2018/19 he signed the SG Sonnenhof Großaspach , with which he signed a contract until 2020. As a regular player, the midfielder completed 37 of 38 league games and scored five times.

During the summer break of 2019, Hercher's move to league rivals 1. FC Kaiserslautern was announced, where he received a three-year contract.
