Tim Leibold (born November 30, 1993 in Böblingen ) is a German football player who is under contract with Hamburger SV .

Career

societies

Tim Leibold played for VfB Stuttgart until the D-Jugend . His other stations in youth were the TSF Ditzingen and finally the SGV Freiberg . In the 2012/13 season Leibold played 33 games with SGV Freiberg in the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg and scored five goals. For the following season Tim Leibold moved to the second team at VfB Stuttgart.

Leibold made his professional debut for VfB Stuttgart II on July 20, 2013 on the 1st matchday of the 2013/14 season in the 3rd division against Borussia Dortmund II .

For the 2015/16 season he moved to 1. FC Nürnberg . He was used both in the 2nd Bundesliga and in the 2016/17 season in the regional league team. In March 2018, Tim Leibold extended his expiring contract with 1. FC Nürnberg. With 1. FC Nürnberg he was runner-up in the 2. Bundesliga in 2018 and was promoted to the Bundesliga .

For the season 2019/20 changed Leibold to Hamburger SV where he received a contract until June 30, 2023rd Under the head coach Dieter Hecking , Leibold was an undisputed regular player and did not miss a minute of the game during the season. In addition to a self-scored goal, the left-back was the best assists of the season with 16 assists. National team

On October 10, 2013 Tim Leibold celebrated his debut for the German U-20 national team against Turkey in the first game of a four-nation tournament in the Dutch municipality of Gemert . In the following four days Leibold was also used in the two other games of the U-20 tournament, from which he emerged as the winner with Germany.
