David Kinsombi (born December 12, 1995 in Rüdesheim am Rhein ) is a German football player of Congolese descent who is under contract with Hamburger SV .
Career
society
David Kinsombi, who has German citizenship and that of the Democratic Republic of the Congo , initially played for Germania Wiesbaden and for SV Wehen Wiesbaden . In 2011 he went to 1. FSV Mainz 05 . In the 2013/14 season he was team captain of the Mainz A-Jugend and also made four appearances for the reserve in the Regionalliga Südwest . For the 2014/15 season he moved to Eintracht Frankfurt , where he signed a two-year contract. On November 1, 2014, Kinsombi made his Bundesliga debut in a 1-0 defeat against Hannover 96 .
On January 27, 2016, the second division club Karlsruher SC acquired the transfer rights to Kinsombi, provided him with a contract with a term until June 30, 2018 and loaned him to the 1st division in the third division until the end of the 2015/16 season . FC Magdeburg . In Magdeburg he was used in 11 third division games (10 times in the starting XI).
For the 2016/17 season , Kinsombi finally joined the Karlsruher SC squad. He was used in 26 second division games (24 times in the starting XI) and scored one goal.
After KSC was relegated to the third division, Kinsombi moved to the second division Holstein Kiel for the 2017/18 season . There, too, he established himself as a regular under Markus Anfang and played in 31 second division games (24 times in the starting line-up), in which he scored 4 goals. With the newcomer, Kinsombi took 3rd place, but had to admit defeat to VfL Wolfsburg in the relegation . For the 2018/19 season , Kinsombi was appointed team captain by new coach Tim Walter . By the end of the year he was in 18 second division games and scored 4 goals. In January 2019, Kinsombi broke his tibia and was out until the end of the season.
For the 2019/20 season, Kinsombi moved to league competitor and local rival Hamburger SV , with whom he signed a contract with a term until June 30, 2023 during his injury in April 2019. The then HSV sports director Ralf Becker , who had brought him to Holstein Kiel as sports director two years earlier , was responsible for the commitment .
National team
Kinsombi made his debut for the German U18 national team on November 14, 2011 in a 3-0 win against Italy's U18 team , for which he played three times.
