Hiroki Sakai ( Japanese 酒井 宏 樹 , Sakai Hiroki ; born April 12, 1990 in Kashiwa , Chiba Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player .
Career
societies
Sakai came on April 12, 1990 Kashiwa in Chiba Prefecture to the world. The right-back began his career in 2003 as a youth for Kashiwa Reysol . In summer 2009 he was loaned to Mogi Mirim EC in Brazil for four months . In 2010 Hiroki Sakai made his debut for the club's professional team in the J. League Division 2 and was promoted to Division 1. At the end of the 2011/12 season, he was sensationally champion right after promotion and was elected rookie of the year this season . He was also accepted into the J. League Best XI, the best team in the J. League. This made clubs from Europe aware of him. For the 2012/13 season he moved to the Bundesliga at Hannover 96 for around 1 million euros , where he signed a contract until June 30, 2016. He scored his first Bundesliga goal on November 3, 2013 (11th matchday) in the 3-2 defeat in the away game against Werder Bremen with the goal of 2-2 in the 41st minute. Since July 1, 2016, Sakai has been playing for the French first division club Olympique Marseille .
National team
Since 2011, Hiroki Sakai came in qualifying for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London to several appearances for the U-22 and U-23 national team of Japan and made his debut on June 1, 2011 in a 3-1 win against the selection of Australia. Sakai played 10 games and scored two goals. In 2011 he was nominated for the senior national team, but was not used. It was not until May 23, 2012, in a 2-0 win in the international test match against the selection of Azerbaijan , that he made his first appearance for the senior national team. His first competitive game followed on June 3rd in a 3-0 win against Oman in qualifying for the 2014 World Cup .
In 2012 he was in the squad for the Olympic Games and was used in four of six games. In the game for third place, the team lost to South Korea 2-0.
