Valère Germain (born April 17, 1990 in Marseille ) is a French football player . The striker is under contract with Olympique Marseille in Ligue 1 .

family

Valère Germain is the son of the former French national player Bruno Germain (* 1960).

Career

society

Valère Germain began his career with ASPTT Orléans in 1996 and then played for the US Orléans before joining LB Châteauroux in 2004 . In 2005 he moved to the youth team at AS Monaco and has been part of the first team since 2011. On May 1, 2011, Germain made his professional debut in Ligue 1 in a 1-1 draw against AS Saint-Étienne . After relegation in the 2010/11 season , he played with the club for two years in Ligue 2 and scored his first goal there on August 15, 2011 in a 2-1 defeat against Stade Reims . In the 2012/13 season he was with the team champions of Ligue 2 and rose again to the top division. After a good 2013/14 season , which ended in second place, Germain will play in the Champions League with the club in the 2014/15 season . On September 21, 2014 Germain came in a 1-0 win against EA Guingamp to his 100th league appearance for AS Monaco.

For the 2015/16 season he was awarded to league rivals OGC Nice for one year . After returning to Monaco, Germain won the French championship in the 2016/17 season . For the 2017/18 season he moved to league rivals Olympique Marseille . With the team he reached the final of the Europa League , in which they lost 3-0 Atlético Madrid .
