history

In 1397 the village was first mentioned in a document. The octagonal church was built in 1763. In the 18th century Hirschhausen belonged to the parish of Kubach. Since at that time Hirschhausen and Kubach formed an independent parish, which had to provide a contribution in kind to the pastor's salary, a fruit delivery contract was concluded with Kubach, which was only changed in 1932.

West of Hirschhausen are the remains of walls of the former St. John - Convention and the Sanctuary Pfannstiel .

Territorial reform

On December 31, 1970 , as part of the regional reform in Hesse, the previously independent communities of Ahausen, Bermbach, Drommershausen, Gaudernbach, Hasselbach, Hirschhausen, Kirschhofen, Odersbach and Waldhausen and the city of Weilburg merged on a voluntary basis to form the expanded city of Weilburg. This made Hirschhausen a district of Weilburg.
