history

In the district of Kubach there was a settlement 2500 years ago, as excavations from 1981 confirm.

For the first time the Kubach was on December 27, 1000 in a certificate from Otto III. mentioned as “usque ad rivolum cubach”.

A parish church in Cubach is mentioned for the first time in 1516 .

The Am Köppel construction and industrial area between Weilburg and Kubach made the district a focus of development for the city of Weilburg from the beginning of the new millennium. The lively construction activity in this area allows the core city of Weilburg and Kubach to grow closer and closer together.

Place name

The name developed from rivolum cubach , the naming of a stream of this name as a boundary, via "Cuobach", Cubach to today's Kubach. It probably comes from the two streams that flow through Kubach.

Territorial reform

In the course of the regional reform in Hesse , the municipality of Kubach became the last town to be a district of Weilburg on July 1, 1974 by virtue of state law.
