Hures-la-Parade is a commune in the French department of Lozère in the Administrative Region of Occitania . It belongs to the canton of Florac and the Arrondissement of Florac .
Geography, infrastructure
Hures-la-Parade is the starting point of the electric funicular to Aven Armand near Meyrueis . Neighboring municipalities are La Malène in the north-west, Mas-Saint-Chély in the north, Gorges du Tarn Causses in the north-east, Vebron in the east, Gatuzières in the south-east, Meyrueis in the south, Veyreau in the south-west and Saint-Pierre-des-Tripiers and Massegros Causses Gorges in the West.

The place is the location of several dolmens : Dolmen des Avens, Dolmen du Cerrière, Dolmens de Drigas, Dolmen de Gouziac, Dolmen de la Serre Gaoujac called Tombeau Dau Geïon and the Tombeau du Géant.

- ↑ The large Knickdolmen ( French dolmen coudé ) is mostly still hidden in its tumulus. It is one of the best preserved of the angled dolmens in Lozere. The capstone rests on the orthostats surrounding the room and is 3.8 m long and 2.4 m wide. Its passage forms an angle with a length of 2.5 m.
