The population decline that began at the end of the 19th century is essentially related to the loss of jobs as a result of the increasing mechanization of agriculture .

economy

For centuries, the people of Molezon lived self-sufficient on the produce of their fields and gardens. Cattle breeding (sheep, goats, cattle, chickens) was also important. Nowadays, the rental of holiday apartments ( gîtes ) plays an important role in the economic life of the municipality.

history

Little is known about the history of the place. After all, the existence of a Romanesque church suggests a medieval settlement in the area.

Attractions

The only attraction of the community is the Romanesque church Notre-Dame, mentioned in 1123 - later also used as a barn . The unadorned building has been recognized as a monument historique since 2012 .
