It was created with effect from January 1, 2016 as Commune nouvelle through the amalgamation of the previous municipalities of Le Pont-de-Montvert , Fraissinet-de-Lozère and Saint-Maurice-de-Ventalon . Since then, these have been Communes déléguées .
