IC 149 is a spiral galaxy with Loping star formation from Hubble type S in the constellation Cetus south of the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 246 million light years from the Milky Way and about 80,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on December 7, 1893 .
