IC 2213 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sb in the constellation Gemini on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 300 million light-years from the Milky Way and about 70,000 light-years across. Together with PGC 3445099 it forms a gravitationally bound galaxy pair .
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 2490 , NGC 2492 , IC 485 , IC 2217 .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on February 8, 1896 .
