Ivo Muser (born February 22, 1962 in Bruneck , South Tyrol , Italy ) is an Italian clergyman and theologian . He is the Roman Catholic Bishop of Bozen-Brixen .

Live and act

Ivo Muser, whose family comes from the German-Carinthian language island of Tischlwang ( Friuli ), grew up as the son of a working-class family in Gais and graduated from the Humanist High School in Bruneck in 1981. He then completed a degree in philosophy and Catholic theology at the University of Innsbruck , which he completed with a thesis on the Eucharist, submitted in 1986 . In 1987 he received from Bishop Wilhelm Egger in Brixen the priesthood . After years of cooperation in Val Pusteria , he was the Bishop's private secretary from 1989 to 1991.
