Jewish cemetery (Ermershausen)
The Jewish cemetery Ermershausen in Lower Franconia Ermershausen , a municipality in the district of Haßberge , located southeast of Ermershausen, near the B 279 between Ermershausen and Maroldsweisach .
According to a current count, there are 226 tombstones ( mazewot ) on the 31.40 ares large cemetery .
history
In the cemetery, which was inaugurated in 1830, not only the deceased Jews from Ermershausen but also those from Maroldsweisach were buried. Before that, deceased Jews from Ermershausen and half of Maroldsweisach were buried in the Jewish cemetery of Ebern . The other half of the Jewish deceased in Maroldsweisach were buried in the Jewish cemetery in Kleinsteinach , where they had done their shopping.
