The Jacques-Lemans-Arena is a football stadium in the Austrian town of Sankt Veit an der Glan in the southern state of Carinthia . The arena holds 2420 spectators. The system bears the sponsor name of Jacques Lemans GmbH , an international watch and jewelry manufacturer, based in Sankt Veit an der Glan .

history

The facility was opened in 2005 and replaced the sports field on the racetrack grounds , which had served SV St. Veit / Glan as the home ground in the Regionalliga Mitte . The opening match took place on June 28, 2005 and was a friendly between FC St. Veit and FC Kärnten .

The stadium grandstand offers more than 600 covered seats and 1,800 standing places. In addition to the stadium with the main pitch , the facility also includes three training pitches , including an artificial turf pitch , and a goalkeeper training pitch .

Soccer games

The arena has been used several times as a venue for international and test matches for European football teams that were at training camps in Carinthia. It was also the venue for the United World Games 2019.
