James Haig Adomian (born January 31, 1980 in Omaha , Nebraska ) is an American comedian and actor .

He appeared in the comedy shows Comedy Bang! Bang! , Last Comic Standing and the late night show The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson , in which he played President George W. Bush until 2009 . He dubbed Talking Ben in the animated series Talking Tom and Friends .

Life

Adomian was born in Omaha , Nebraska , and is of Armenian descent. He is the grandson of the Armenian-American mathematician George Adomian . Adomian grew up in Atlanta , Georgia . When he was ten years old, his family moved to Los Angeles . Adomian is a graduate of Los Angeles Baptist High School and graduated from Whittier College with a major in Economics and Theater Arts in 2001.

Adomian appeared frequently as George W. Bush on The Late Late Show until 2009 , after Craig Ferguson became the show's host in January 2005 .

In 2008, Adomian portrayed George W. Bush in Harold & Kumar 2 - Escape from Guantanamo .

In the summer of 2010, Adomian was a top ten finalist on NBC's Last Comic Standing show and also starred in the unaired pilot Krog for the Cartoon Network .

In 2011, he was cast on NBC's unaired Kari Lizer pilot, starring alongside Sarah Paulson and Tim Meadows .

In 2012, Adomian played in the television series Comedy Bang! Bang! Huell Howser , a presenter and producer for the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS), and played Madonna on the satirical television series Childrens Hospital , which airs on Adult Swim . He embodied himself in the program Money from Strangers , which is broadcast on MTV. He also had regular appearances in different roles in sketches of the late-night - talk show Conan .

He also had appearances in various other comedy programs, for example MADtv , Mind of Mencia, Jimmy Kimmel Live! , Short Circuitz, Atom TV, Cavemen, Recount and Players .

As a voice actor, Adomian has worked for The Onion Radio News , and for various regular characters in the PBS animated series WordGirl, for George W. Bush in some episodes of MADtv, for Jimmy Kimmel in Celebrity Deathmatch and in several other animated series .

Adomian has come out as gay .

Since 2009, Adomian has appeared as a frequent guest on many comedy podcast episodes including Chapo Trap House , Comedy Bang! Bang! , Sklarbro Country , The Todd Glass Show , and WTF with Marc Maron . The characters he plays are Huell Howser , Jesse Ventura , Paul Giamatti , Gordon Ramsay , Dov Charney , gourmet critic Merrill Shindler, Gary Busey , Tim Gunn , Richard Branson , Tom Leykis , and a few comedians like Todd Glass and Andy Kindler .

Adomian has posted several internet videos including "Hillary's Downfall" and some videos as George W. Bush. In other videos on YouTube and Funny or Die , he embodies Sam Elliott , Jesse Ventura, Alan Moore , Brett Favre , Vincent Price , Orson Welles , Gary Busey, Lewis Black , wrestler Hacksaw Jim Duggan and George Zimmer from The Men's Wearhouse .

During the presidency of George W. Bush, Adomian posted some YouTube videos as US President Bush for some liberal organizations like Working Assets , Laughing Liberally , Free Press and OpenLeft .

On July 2, 2014, Adomian appeared on Ken Reid 's TV Guidance Counselor Podcast .

In 2015, his YouTube video of a debate between Trump and Sanders was successful.

Stand up comedy album

Adomian released his debut comedy album Low Hangin Fruit in 2012. It was the first album released by Earwolf and received mostly positive reviews.

Adomian often performs live at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater on sketch and stand-up comedy shows like Comedy Bang! Bang! and Who Charted? on. He is a former member of the Sunday Company of The Groundlings Theater, where he can still be seen often. He also appears regularly on the Tomorrow Show and other stand-up comedy shows in Hollywood. Adomian is known for having enjoyed playing well-known personalities in his live shows, both costumed and stand-up comedy, including Vincent Price , Lewis Black , Orson Welles , Jesse Ventura , Paul Giamatti , Michael Caine , Philip Seymour Hoffman , Sam Elliott , Al Franken , Huell Howser , Christopher Hitchens , Gary Busey , John McCain , Joe Lieberman , Marc Maron , Jimmy Kimmel , Andy Kindler , Tom Leykis , Todd Glass , George W. Bush , and Bernie Sanders . He made such recurring appearances on Comedy Bang! Bang!

In March 2012, Adomian made his first appearance outside America, performing at Stand Up Seoul on two sold-out evenings in Seoul , South Korea .

Adomian toured the United States with the Trump v. Bernie from February to March 2016.
