Janine Elizabeth Beckie (born August 20, 1994 in Littleton , Colorado , United States ) is an American- Canadian soccer player on the position of a striker . The Canadian national soccer player has played for Manchester City since 2018 .

Career start and high school

Janine Beckie was born in 1994 in Littleton, Colorado, a suburb of Denver and the site of the Columbine High School rampage in 1999, as the youngest child of Gary and Sheila Beckie (née Brennan). During her childhood and youth, she grew up playing soccer, gymnastics, basketball and lacrosse, but in later years she concentrated more on her soccer career. As a four-time letterman (2009 to 2012), she was very successful as a footballer during her high school years; so she was among other things in the years 2009 and 2010 with the girls team high school vice state champion of Colorado.
