Jeremie Frimpong (born December 10, 2000 in Amsterdam ) is a Dutch football player . He is under contract with the Scottish club Celtic Glasgow and is a Dutch junior international.

Career

Jeremie Frimpong played in the junior division of Manchester City in England until 2019 . Most recently he played for the U-23 team in the Professional Development League and the UEFA Youth League . In September 2019 he moved to Celtic Glasgow for a fee of £ 450,000 and signed a four-year deal. In the same month he made his professional debut for Celtic when he was in the starting line-up in the quarter-finals of the Scottish League Cup against second division side Partick Thistle . He was able to convince the trainer Neil Lennon and the audience with a good performance. He also made his debut in the Scottish Premiership in October 2019 . In the 6-0 home win against Ross County he was again in the first eleven. In his second league game against FC Aberdeen in the same month, he gave an assist and scored his first goal as a professional.

Jeremie Frimpong played three times for the Dutch U-19 national team in 2018 . He made his debut on November 14, 2018 in a 4-0 win against Armenia .
