society

After Jullien stopped playing handball, he began his footballing career with US Torcy , where he played in a team with Paul Pogba, among others . There he was quickly discovered by those in charge of AJ Auxerre . At the same time, the Frenchman was on the waiting list for the Center technique national Fernand-Sastre .

After a few years in youth, he played his first competitive games in the professional team in the 2012/13 season under Jean-Guy Wallemme . The central defender made his debut on August 24, 2012 in a 2-1 home win against Stade Laval in Ligue 2 . Jullien quickly developed into a regular player and came to 25 appearances in the league at the end of the season.

His contract ended at the end of the 2012/13 season and Jullien moved to the Bundesliga for SC Freiburg for the 2013/14 season . At SC Freiburg, however, he was only used in the second team (U23). At the beginning of the 2014/15 season, Jullien was supposed to leave the club, but a loan deal did not materialize. At the beginning of the season he was only part of the U23 squad, where he performed well. On December 16, 2014, Jullien made his Bundesliga debut in the 2-0 defeat by Bayern Munich when he came on for Pavel Krmaš in the 72nd minute .

In the 2015/16 season he played on loan in Ligue 2 at FCO Dijon , for whom he scored nine goals in 34 games and was promoted to Ligue 1 .

After the expiration of the loan came Jullien not return to Freiburg, but moved to the season 2016/17 in the Ligue 1 for Toulouse , where he received a up to 30 June 2020 dated four-year contract.

In June 2019, he moved to Celtic Glasgow in Scotland for a fee of £ 7m . With his new club, he won the championship and the league cup in the first year .

Due to his performances in Ligue 2, Jullien was appointed to the squad of the French U-20 national team for the first time in early 2013 . He made his debut with a 2-0 win over Portugal's U-20s on February 4, 2013. Pierre Mankowski also nominated the defender for the 2013 U-20 World Cup in Turkey , which France won after a 4: 1 won against Uruguay on penalties.
