Karamoko Kader Dembélé (born February 22, 2003 in London ) is a Scottish - English soccer player of Ivorian descent who plays in the position of winger for Celtic Glasgow . He has represented youth teams from England and Scotland.

Career

Dembélé started playing at Park Villa Boys Club at the age of five , where his exceptional talent was immediately noticed. At the age of 10 he was hired by Celtic Glasgow in 2013 and trained at the local youth academy. On October 3, 2016, Dembélé gained widespread media attention after making his debut as a 13-year-old for the Celtic U-20 team, where he played against players up to seven years older than himself.

On December 24, 2018, Dembélé signed his first professional contract with Celtic at the age of 15, which binds him to the club until 2021. He made his professional debut on May 19, 2019 in a 2-1 win against the Heart of Midlothian , with which he also won the Scottish Championship. At the age of 16 years and 86 days on his debut, he became the second youngest Celtic player ever.

National team

He made his debut in 2016 for England's U15 team. At the U16 level, he represented both the English and Scottish selections. On April 21, 2018 he made his debut for Scotland's U17 team in a game against Russia .

He was born in the London Borough of Lambeth and came to Scotland at the age of one. His parents are from Ivory Coast . An older brother of his, Siriki Dembélé , is also a footballer and plays for Peterborough United . A younger brother is playing in Celtic's youth academy.
