Scott Bain began his career in the youth of Aberdeen FC . Even before he made his professional debut for the Dons , he was awarded to the Scottish fourth division Elgin City in the 2010/11 season . He made his debut for the club on Matchday 3 against East Stirlingshire FC at the age of 18. By the end of the season, the young goalkeeper was used in ten other league games. With the team he succeeded in direct promotion from fourth to third division. Under coach Paul Hartley , Bain completed 30 out of 36 possible games. In the following third division season 2012/13 , the team was runner-up behind Queen of the South . With victories over Brechin City and Dunfermline Athletic in the promotion relegation, the direct march through to the second division succeeded. Bain played a big part as the goalkeeper. After playing 100 league games for the Hornets in three seasons , he moved at the end of the 2013/14 season to Dundee FC, together with coach Paul Hartley . In January 2018 it was first awarded to Hibernian Edinburgh . The loan deal was terminated after Craig Gordon goalkeeper of Celtic Glasgow injured himself.
