Jesús Montoya Alarcón (born December 4, 1963 in Cabezo de Torres , Murcia province ) is a former Spanish cyclist .

Montaya became a professional athlete in 1987 and won his first professional race as a neoprofessional with a stage Vuelta a Cantabria . At the Vuelta a España 1992 he wore the leader's jersey for a total of 12 days and was replaced by Tony Rominger three days before the end and finished second overall. His most important victories include a stage of the Vuelta a España in 1991 and 1993 and the Spanish road race championship . After the end of the 1996 season, he ended his career as an active.
