Enrique Martínez Heredia (born January 27, 1953 in Huesas ) is a former Spanish road cyclist .

Career

Before Martínez Heredia became a professional he was able to catch up with some success as an amateur . Among other things, he won the Vuelta a Navarra in 1973 and the Tour de l'Avenir in 1974 . In 1975 he also competed in the International Peace Race , where he wore the jersey of the best climber and was 47 overall. In his first year as a professional in 1976, he was the first Spaniard to win the Tour de France junior rider . By the end of his career in 1984, further successes followed, such as the Spanish championship in road racing , as well as stage victories in the Vuelta a España .

After his cycling career, Enrique Martínez Heredia founded a cycling business.
