history
Jeviněves was built between the 13th and 14th centuries. The place was first mentioned in documents in 1374. On the Jevín there was a castle and later a fortress. A trade connection from Prague to Dresden ran through the Jeviněves valley . Among the owners of Jeviněves were u. a. Pešek von Válovice and the noble family Buškovický. The latter sold half of the village with the forestry and the vineyard to the Counts Chotek in the 17th century . A castle was built under the Chotek as the seat of the estate administration. In the 19th century the place had 465 inhabitants.
After the abolition of patrimonial Jeniněves formed a municipality in the Roudnice district from 1848 . At the end of the 19th century the place name was first changed to Jeňoves and finally to Jeviněves . In 1922 the Chotek estates were parceled out, with the exception of the vineyard and the forestry department. In 1947 a two-class school was set up in the village. This was later closed due to a decline in the number of students and the children were sent to Lužec nad Vltavou . Electrification also took place in 1947. Since 1961 the municipality belongs to the Okres Mělník . Between 1980 and 1990 Jeviněves was incorporated into Spomyšl . Today, Jeviněves wine is processed into quality wine.
