Kokořín (German Kokorschin ) is a municipality in Okres Mělník in the Czech Republic . It is the center of the Kokořínsko nature reserve .
history
The first written mention comes from the year 1320. At that time the owner Jindřich von Osměchov exchanged the village with Hynek Berka von Dubá with Velešice . The village belonged to the Berka von Dubá family for over a hundred years. The Kokořín Castle was built here during his reign .
