Nová Ves (German Neudorf ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located eight kilometers north of Kralupy nad Vltavou and belongs to the Okres Mělník .

geography

Nová Ves is located on the left side of the Vltava valley in the North Bohemian table country. The village is located on the left bank of the Bakovský potok before its confluence with the Vltava. In the north rises the Škarechov ( Skarehof , 270 m) and south of the Na Horach (286 m). To the east of the village runs the D8 motorway between Lovosice and Prague , which crosses at exit 18 with the state road I / 16 from Mělník to Slaný . The railway line Praha – Děčín runs south through the Vltava valley , the next station is Nové Ouholice. At the junction to Sazená there are remains of the Prague line of the Czechoslovak Wall . To the northwest is the Sazená airfield.

Neighboring towns are Ledčice and Jeviněves in the north, Spomyšl and Mlčechvosty in the Northeast, Vepřek the east, Červený Mlýn and Všestudy the southeast, Nové Ouholice in the south, Uhy and Chržín in the southwest, Sazená the west and Loucká , Bříza and Straskov-Vodochody in the northwest.

history

Based on archaeological finds, a settlement in the area of ​​the village in the Stone Age can be proven. The village of Nová Ves belonging to the Raudnitz domain was founded in 1347 by the lords of Lobkowicz . In 1421 the village was designated as curia in Nova villa monii in Doxan .

After the abolition of patrimonial Nová Ves belonged to the district administration Slaný from 1850 . Since 1921 the community belonged to the Okres Kralupy nad Vltavou and after its dissolution in 1960 it was assigned to the Okres Mělník . The last tank battle of the Second World War took place on the Homole in 1945. 1980 Nové Ouholice (with Miřejovice and Vepřek) and Staré Ouholice were incorporated.
