Všetaty (German Wschetat , older also Wißen ) is a place and railway junction in Central Bohemia near the Elbe .
geography
Všetaty has 2,026 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2006) and belongs to the Okres Mělník . It belongs to the Neratovice administrative community and lies on the left side of the Košátecký potok in Polabí , the Central Bohemian Elbe lowland. The Cecemina ridge ( 238 m nm ) with the municipality of Dřísy , where the oldest wine-growing region in Bohemia was located, extends to the southeast .
history
The first written mention of the place comes from the year 1223. Since 2006 the place has again the status of a Městys .
