Joachim Wolff (politician)

Joachim Wolff (born August 6, 1918 in Landsberg (Warthe) , † November 12, 1977 in Berlin ) was a German lawyer and politician ( CDU ).

Wolff was in the Reich labor and military service from 1937 to 1945 . After the end of the Second World War , he worked in the CDU regional association in Berlin from 1946. From 1951 to 1959 he was in the district councilor for public education and from 1955 to 1959 he was also district mayor in the Schöneberg district . From 1959 to 1963 he was Senator for Finances of the State of Berlin under the Governing Mayor Willy Brandt . After the CDU's election defeat on February 17, 1963, he was dismissed from the office of Senator. From 1963 to 1971 Wolff was a member of the Berlin House of Representatives . From 1965 to 1968 he was still the administrative director of the German Development Institute .
