Jonas Nay (born September 20, 1990 in Lübeck ) is a German actor and musician .

Life

Jonas Nay attended the Johanneum zu Lübeck , a high school with a musical branch, in whose big band he also played. Due to his interest in the theater, he applied for an actor casting in 2004 in response to a newspaper advertisement. He got a leading role in the children's and youth series 4 against Z of the NDR, in which Hollywood actor Udo Kier played a villain. In the first two seasons of the television series Nay was seen under the pseudonym Jonas Friedebom as "Otti Sörensen". In the following years he played smaller roles in several TV productions for ARD and ZDF .

After graduating from high school, he was offered the leading role in the television film Homevideo . The drama about a young person who is blackmailed by his classmates with the publication of an intimate video was awarded, among other things, the German TV Prize 2011 for best TV film. Nay received the German Television Prize and the 2012 Grimme Prize . Other leading roles in television films followed. In 2012 he worked in the last crime scene of Hamburg investigator Cenk Batu, Tatort: ​​Die Ballad von Cenk and Valerie , as the son Kilian of a disturbed serial killer who is killed in affect by his mother. For his role as the son of a schizophrenic in the 2013 movie Hirngespinster , he received the Bavarian Film Prize 2013 for “Best Young Actor”.

Jonas Nay did community service and trained as a film composer . With other students of the Johanneum he founded the band Concerted , in which he sang, played guitar and piano and for which he wrote the lyrics. The band contributed to the music for Stephan Rick's film Unter Neighbors . In January 2013 the new four-man formation Northern Lights emerged . Since September 2016 Nay has been singing and playing in the band Pudeldame - this time with German lyrics. Nay gained greater fame with the RTL spy series Deutschland 83 . In the series he plays the main role of Sergeant Martin Rauch, who is smuggled into the Bundeswehr as a spy by the NVA . The sequel Deutschland 86 was filmed in 2018 .
