The K&S Group , based in Sottrum, is an operator of full and part-time inpatient care facilities in Germany.

The K&S Group employs more than 4,000 people and maintains 33 senior citizens' residences nationwide with around 4,000 inpatient care places. Further residences are under construction.
As a general contractor , the group of companies plans, builds and maintains care facilities on its own or on behalf of third parties and provides services for the people it looks after. This begins with the location search and planning, continues with the construction and includes maintenance operations by our own staff. Catering, housekeeping and cleaning services are also provided in-house.
The services include full inpatient long and short-term care for all levels of care as well as care for people with dementia, palliative care and other special forms of care. For this purpose, the facilities maintain supply contracts with long-term care funds and social welfare providers . The company also offers serviced apartments for senior citizens at several locations. These are partly attached to the senior residences. In the quality tests by the Medical Service of the Health Insurance (MDK), the senior residences of the corporate group received an average grade of 1.2. All facilities bear the “Green Hook” seal, which focuses on human dignity, participation and autonomy and is awarded by the Federal Interest Group for the Elderly and People in Care (BIVA eV).
The group also includes ten outpatient care services, six day care facilities and a day care center. Since the nursing campus opened in Zwickau in 2017, a student residence hall has also been part of the offer.
The company has its own training academy in Großtreben for training and continuing education of the nursing staff . This has been recognized by the state of Saxony as the official training center for nursing professions. To intensify the family-oriented personnel policy, the company is currently undergoing the berufundfamilie audit , which is under the patronage of the Federal Minister for Family Affairs.
In 1991, the K&S Group founded the Corona e. V. - non-profit association for the environment and people. The charitable projects of the association include funding for children's aid in Kenya. In Germany, Corona eV primarily supports institutions with a social background and donation campaigns by church communities and sports clubs.

history
In 1981, Dr. Hans-Georg Krantz founded the K&S home and operating company based in Ottersberg. In the early years, the business portfolio initially included the construction and operation of social properties and communal accommodation.
Since the beginning of the 1990s, the company's focus has been on the construction and operation of care facilities. Elbe Baubetreuungs- und Betriebsgesellschaft mbH, which emerged from the planning department of the K&S group of companies in 2000, takes on the planning and execution. In 1994 the company location was relocated to Stuckenborstel . In 2000 the company moved again to today's headquarters in Sottrum.
The group of companies has been in family hands since it was founded. The second generation is now active. Both sons of the company founder, Dr. Ulrich Krantz and Georg Krantz, hold a board or managing director position within the group of companies.
