The canton Bayonne-Nord was by 2015 a constituency in the Arrondissement Bayonne in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques in the region Aquitaine in France . Christophe Martin was the last representative on the Department's General Council from 2004 to 2015.
history
The canton was founded on March 4, 1790 as part of the establishment of the départements as part of what was then the "District of Ustaritz". With the founding of the arrondissements on February 17, 1800, the canton was redesigned as part of what was then the Bayonne arrondissement.

geography
The canton bordered in the north on the canton of Saint-Martin-de-Seignanx in the Dax arrondissement in the Landes department , in the east on the canton Bayonne-Est , and in the south on the canton Bayonne-Ouest , in the southwest on the canton Anglet-Nord and West to the Atlantic ( Bay of Biscay ).
