The Canton Accous was 2015 a French constituency in the Arrondissement Oloron-Sainte-Marie in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques in the region Aquitaine in France . Jean Lassalle was the last representative in the General Council of the Département from 1988 to 2015, last re-elected in 2008.
history
The canton was founded on March 4, 1790 as part of the establishment of the departments as part of what was then the "District of Oloron". With the establishment of the arrondissements on February 17, 1800, the canton was redesigned as part of what was then the arrondissement of Oloron.

The canton bordered in the north with the canton Oloron-Sainte-Marie-Est , in the east with the canton Laruns , in the south with Spain with the autonomous region of Aragon and in the west with the canton Aramits .
