The canton of Arudy is a former until 2015 existing French canton in the Arrondissement Oloron-Sainte-Marie in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques in the region Aquitaine in France . From 1994, Francis Courouau was the representative in the General Council of the Department.

history

The canton was founded on March 4, 1790 as part of the establishment of the departments as part of what was then the "District of Oloron". With the establishment of the arrondissements on February 17, 1800, the canton was redesigned as part of what was then the arrondissement of Oloron.

The canton bordered the canton Pau-Sud in the north, the canton Nay-Ouest in the east, the canton Laruns in the south and the canton Oloron-Sainte-Marie-Est in the west .
