The Canton Lasseube was 2015 a French constituency in the Arrondissement Oloron-Sainte-Marie in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques in the region Aquitaine . From 2011, Jean-Marc Grussaute was the representative in the General Council of the Département.

The canton bordered the canton of Monein to the north, the cantons of Pau-Ouest and Pau-Sud in the Pau arrondissement to the east, and the canton of Oloron-Sainte-Marie-Est to the south and west .

history

The canton was founded on March 4, 1790 as part of the establishment of the departments as part of what was then the "District of Oloron". With the establishment of the arrondissements on February 17, 1800, the canton was redesigned as part of what was then the arrondissement of Oloron.
