Lasseube ( La Seuva in Occitan ) is a French commune with 1,736 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques department in the Aquitaine region . Monein belongs to the arrondissement of Oloron-Sainte-Marie and is part of the canton of Oloron-Sainte-Marie-2 (until 2015: canton of Lasseube ). The inhabitants are called Lasseubois .
geography
Lasseube is located in the historic province of Béarn on the Bayse River . The Auronce rises in the community. Lasseube is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Monein in the north and northwest, Aubertin in the north, Saint-Faust in the northeast, Gan in the east, Lasseubetat in the southeast, Ogeu-les-Bains in the south, Escou in the south and southwest, Escout in the southwest and Estialescq in West.
