history
Laguinge, right on the shore of the season, and Restoue, a little higher on a promontory, are two medieval villages . Laguinge is first mentioned in the scriptures in 1080, Restoue a little later, in the 13th century.
In the area of the municipality, limestone of a bluish, sometimes beige-pink color was probably mined for the construction of walls and churches in the region until the end of the 19th or beginning of the 20th century .
On March 22, 1842, the municipalities of Laguinge and Restoue merged to form the new municipality of Laguinge-Restoue.
